Emerging Local Authors Collection

On May 12, 2018, I stood with 110 other proud, local authors at the Greater Victoria Public Library as they unveiled their 2018-2019 Emerging Local Authors Collection.

I stumbled upon the GVPL's program earlier this year as I was doing book marketing research, and I'm glad I did. It's another venue where people can now find my books. The more eyes on them the better.

Now in its fourth year, the Emerging Local Authors Collection showcases self-published, independent, and small press books. The collection gives visibility to authors that may not have any other way to get their work recognized.

Plus, the barrier to entry is small once an author has already produced a physical book or ebook. After meeting the minimal requirements, a book is accepted. It's an excellent program.

Now, please excuse me while I go and find a local book to read. :)
