Yesterday was the Terry Fox Run for 2018. I planned on shaving my head (read about that here.) Guess what...?
It's all gone, baby! Yeah! Yesterday was a milestone for me. I'm no stranger to short hair, but for most of my adult life I've let it grow long. And I've never had a buzz cut.
Yesterday I cut it all off at the Great Canadian Hair "Do" at Mile 0 to support The Terry Fox Foundation and Wigs for Kids B.C.
I am packaging up my hair "cuttings" and will be mailing them off this week. I feel happy to be able to help a child feel better about their appearance, especially since they often face such adversity during the treatment process.
It's going to take some getting used to. I keep scaring myself in the mirror, but it's "growing" on me. :)
